While Düneck is primarily our private residence, we uphold the tradition of the original builder's
family by maintaining an open house.
The main house, with approximately 1,300 square meters, consists of the main floor, a garden level, an
upper floor, and an attic.
- On the main floor, you will find a gallery hall with a Steinway concert grand piano, directly adjacent
to a large dining room, a bridge lounge, a golden salon, a bar lounge, a library, and a fantastic
conservatory with 150-year-old vines, as well as a pantry kitchen.
- On the garden level, there is a large kitchen counter under a barrel vault with a view of the park, a
dining and wine lounge, a movies room, and sanitary and pantry areas.
- On the upper and attic floors, there are ten guest suites, each uniquely themed and featuring en-suite
marble bathrooms, and a breakfast salon.
As we are often asked about the interiors: Our project was planned and overseen by ourselves assisted by
Giorgio Gullotta Architects. The exquisite furniture, wall coverings, and chandeliers come from various
sources, including Edra, Wittmann Möbelwerkstätten, Gervasoni, Luiz, Maßtischlerei Mehlig, Devon &
Devon, Rubelli, Dedar, Matthew Williamson, Sogni di Cristallo, and from the Marché aux Puces in Saint
Ouen. Our tiles were custom-made by Fornace Bernasconi, and the paints used by A.W. Mayer painters are
from Caparol Icons and Farrow & Ball. Tableware, glasses, and cutlery are from Dibbern, La Rochère, and
Broggi, among others.
The orangery, formerly the orchid and palm house, is currently in an unrestored state and covers
approximately 280 square meters. It can be used as an external building, for example, for photo shoots.
The tea house by the fish pond accommodates up to 10 guests. Additionally, two charming safari tents,
covering about 100 square meters, are available in the park.
Accommodation options are available in the surrounding area, and Schloss Düneck is accessible from
Hamburg within 25-40 minutes by shuttle. Parking spaces are available on the premises and within walking
distance.
